Nick Herron

Nick Herron was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana. Nick graduated with honors from Indiana University in Bloomington with a BS in Business and Marketing. In 1982 he took a job as the National Sales Manager for a successful flooring company and was quickly promoted to Vice President of Sales, a position that fortunately, brought him to sunny Florida. Nick’s new job allowed him to live just about anywhere, as long as he lived near an airport. He spent time exploring the state of Florida that had became his adopted home, and out of all the wonderful places to live, he chose Casey Key Island. He had fallen in-love with the barrier island’s and the “Old Florida” lifestyle as it gave him the opportunity to pursue his passions for boating and golf.

By the late 80’s, he had decided that he had traveled enough. He also realized, after buying and selling quite a number of homes that he was doing better financially in real estate as he was in sales. He then decided to share his love of the barrier islands and Sarasota with others wanting to live the Florida dream and obtained his real estate license. He went to work for REMAX because he felt – and still does – that the company offers both its clients and its sales staff a better deal than other companies – and Nick is man that knows a good deal! Kathleen Herron

In the late 90’s Nick and Kathleen at a party on Casey Key Island. Like him she had grown up in the mid-west, Aurora, Illinois, and like Nick she had had a successful career in business, having worked first as a print broker before starting her own printing company. Kathleen had been visiting the Gulf Coast since childhood; her parents had a home on Fort Myers Beach, and she spent her winters in the warm climate with them, returning to Aurora during the summers. When her dad retired from the trucking industry he became a real estate broker and home developer in the area, so Kathleen has come by her love of the real estate business naturally. Eventually, she sold her printing business and she decided to make Florida’s Coast her permanent home.

Like Nick, Kathleen loves boating and golf and since their marriage, they have lived in a number of wonderful communities in and around Sarasota and Sarasota’s barrier islands, sharing their joy, being on the water or on the golf course. They have a 33 St. Trojan motor boat and like nothing more than to have the chance to take a client out on the water to show off the barrier islands they love so much.
